The shearling coat has a relaxed, moderately oversized fit. One of the key features of this piece is a soft, round shoulder. In Ushatava terminology, it is called a “humble shoulder.” The open-neck collar, when turned up, securely covers the throat and neck so that you don’t need a scarf. We used one button covered with faux leather to maintain the minimalist look of the item. The coat has two side pockets that are functional regardless of the side it is put on.
One side is made of glossy, textured faux leather, and the other is made of faux sheepskin fabric. All seams are finished on a fur sewing machine—a type of sewing machine designed for working with fur, leather, or other dense, heavy materials. Recommended temperature range: from 0°C to −10°C (from 30°F to 15°F) or up to −15°C (5°F) if worn with a warm sweater.
