Creating a blazer, a more relaxed version of the jacket, has long been our dream. A key step in fulfilling it was perfecting our tailoring techniques when working with lightweight fabrics. “This piece is unlike other Ushatava jackets. It is made of a soft jersey, which is most often used for dresses, T-shirts, and sweatshirts. It drapes beautifully thanks to its texture. I love blazers—and this is exactly the kind of jacket I want to wear in the summer,” Nino Shamatava, Creative Director of Ushatava.
The straight silhouette and soft, sloped shoulder make the blazer a versatile wardrobe item—it can be worn by both women and men. Unlike a classic suit jacket, this model is made of a yielding jersey. Hence the jersey-like finishes: the hem and center seam are stretchy and flat. The jacket fastens with two horn buttons, with another hidden under the right lapel to button it all the way up. There is a Ushatava tag on the back of the collar.
